Grades over the last years

We just got our “old” gradebook back, the one listing the grades I got for the last 3 years (not the one I will get in the end of this year), so I thought I could show them to you here.
We get grades twice a year, and the grading system is from 1 to 6, where 6 is best. (Note: It’s harder to get 6 in Norway than to get A in US).
Here they are:
Subject, 8th 1, 8th 2, 9th 1, 9th 2, 10th 1
Religion: 4, 6, 5, 5, 5
Norwegian (main): 4, 5, 5, 5, 5
Norwegian (newnorwegian): x, 4, 5, 5, 4
Norwegian (oral): 5, 5, 4, 6, 5
Maths: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
English: 4, 5, 5, 6, 5
English (oral): 5, 5, 5, 6, 5
History: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Science: 5, 5, 4, 5, 5
Art: 3, 3, 4, 4, 4
Music: 4, 5, 5, 5, 4
Home economics: x, x, 5, 5, x
Gymnastics: 4, 4, 4, 5, 5

x = Don’t have the class that year

Stuff I have problems interacting with.

Sorry for not posting in the blog latly. It amuses me that people has asked me to do so, though

I’ve always been a clumsy person, and I easily break things. But, there are some things that just won’t cooperate with me. At all.
Some is because I’m afraid of them, but the others are fair enough and works for everyone else, but me.
Here are the worst 3 examples I can think of, but there are many. MANY more.

Compasses
No, not the ones you use to find out what’s north. The ones you use to make circles. Sure, it seems like an easy task. It’s just to put the needle in the spot then chose how big you want the circle. But it isn’t. It is NOT an easy task.
Here’s what happen in EVERY math-exam.
- I run to buy one ($4 or something)
- I check that’s it top quality (okey, not really, but I do check that it works)
- I go to class and prepares to do the task.
That’s where everything goes wrong. It all just collaps. My compass starts of nicely, and I can make some stuff, but then ti just snaps. It becomes impossible to create anything because it just slides away making a..nothing. It’s just terrible.
Sewing machines
I can handle computers and video-games. I can handle most stuff that is electronic. Without this. This is an even better example of it-works-for-everyone-else-but-me. I just can’t get these things to work. At all. I start sweing stuff together, then it stops. Somehow it has produced a huge pile of string on the other side, just in random positions. Luckily on the upside it’s okey. This isn’t what have happened once. It is what happens every time. Every stupid time.
Ladders
This is the worst though. I have never fallen off one, but.. I just fail to climb them. I’m literally afraid them. When I take a few steps up I start shaking (more or less). I actually feel afraid. I noticed this for the first time when I was young and were out picking apples with my dad. Recently I just remembered it again when I had to help my dad with some work. I found myself staring at the ladder, and having a hard time walking up it.

I might expand this list if I can think of anything else later on. But this is all for now.

The LL project

What is “The LL project” you might ask. It’s the Legal Laptop project!
For a couple of weeks ago (or maybe more like a month) I got a laptop. I was ordering it for The Gathering, but it didn’t arrive before the day after I left. Even before I bought it I knew that I would try this project, and it has gone well this far.
The LL project is a project to keep my laptop 100% legal. Not to have ONE mp3 file, not a single program that isn’t freeware, trial or full version. It might seem lik e an easy task for most, but for those of us that use our computers to a bit more than internet, it get’s a bit hard after a while. It can be compared with climbing the Mt. Evrest, allthugh that isn’t really right.
I had to find an alternative to almost everything that was on my computer, which isn’t really easy. I’m still looking for good replacements for some good applications.
Here is a list of what I use for diffrent stuff and links where to get. If you find anything you think is better than this, please let me know  :)

Operation System
I was lucky, Windows XP Pro came with the computer, so I own that legally. Oh, and please don’t comment about “USE LINUX!!” and stuff like that, it really don’t do anything else than bothering me.
Internet browser
I’ve allways been a big fan of Opera. Simply because it has all the features I need and features that I didn’t know I needed. It has everything, which makes it perfect for those who like to get the best internet experience. It’s also faster and takes less memory than IE and FireFox.
This is free aslong as there is a two-line ad at the top of the window. Some people say this is annoying, but that is because they don’t want to like it.
FireFox is also a good alternative too, allthough it lacks ALOT of features (many of them probably exist as extentions, but why bother.)
Mail
Opera has an excellent built-in mail client.
IRC
For this I have two alternatives,
opera is good if you only are one 2-4 channels,
but mIRC is better if you are on more and multiple servers.
mIRC pretends that it actually costs, but it’s really a trial that lasts forever.
Image editing
Now THIS is a tough one. Finding a free image-editor that is good is hard. The GIMP is the most famous free one, and has the most functions. But one thing is a major drawback. It’s made for Linux. There is a Windows version too, but it has a terrible interface and everything is just way to hard. The second best one (I have found) is PhotoPlus 5.0. It might not has as many functions, but the interface is pretty.
Animation
I haven’t really looked for this, but I still did find one that I like to play with. It’s not capable of making color animations, but it still is very fun to play with. I did an attempt to translate it to English, but gave up after a while. I did get some done though, and you can download the a-bit-translated verison here: EasyToon
Flash
I have yet to find a good replacement for this :(
3D
Even I’m not much into 3D, I sometimes try. I do legally own version 6 of Cinema 4D, but if you want a free 3D software, I highly recomend Blender 3D.
Office
OpenOffice. Suprise suprise.
Multiplayer game/Counter Strike
To be honest I don’t really like CounterStrike, but what I really really do like, is CounterStrike 2D. It’s CounterStrike, only in 2D. It has multiplayer, the same leves and everything. And it’s free (and even opensource for those who care.) You’ll find me as “Peefy”, and often with a bad stat.
Music
Instead of downloading mp3’s I use radio’s. I’ve never been much into music, and mostly just listen to whatever is on. The program I use is Norwegian, so it might not be as good for people that aren’t from Norway, but here is the link anyway: Asellus netradio.

It just occured to me..

..that I’m really watching way to many TV-series at the moment.
For a couple of months ago all I payed attention to was MacGyver, Home&Away and Malcolm in the Middle, and that was mostly because those was on when I got home from school.
Then I started seeing Desperate Housewives (which by the way rocks, even though it’s a soap) every Tuesday, then I couldn’t resist anymore and downloaded all the episodes and watched them.
Lost had allready showed a couple of episode when my brother brought home a DVD with the 12 first episodes. I watched all 12 over a weekend. Now I got all 20 on my computer.
The Scene is a internet series. Not all that good, but I like it.
I have also started watching these shows:
- Mystery Science Theatre 3000
- MythBusters
- Gilmore Girls (more or less)
- 2 Stupid Dogs
- 24 (season 4)
and some other shows that I only watch an episode from now and then.

Now I’m only looking forward to May, when the new FamilyGuy season begin, and American Dad too.

I got a blog!

After watching everyone else getting their own MSN-space, LiveJournal and Blogger.com blog, I decided it was time for me to get something similar.
I’m still trying to figure out stuff about this thing, allthough it doesn’t seem all that hard. I want to remove the spaces over the header and some other small stuff (that is probably very easy when you know how to do it.)
The theme isn’t made by me, but the guy on the header is me. I might change the picture sometime, but the one that is there now is good for a while I hope. I hade to remove a face from it though, see if you can find where it was ;)

Anyway, still trying to figure stuff out, so be patient. This is kind of a test-submission thing, so I have to see if I notice anything else after posting this. Thanks :)
